Duke Family

Tommy Duke
Senior Pastor

Tommy has served as Senior Pastor at FBC Garden City since August of 2020. He has previously served as a pastor to churches in Georgia, Pennsylvania, and Florida, including planting new churches in Pittsburgh, PA, and Boca Raton, FL. He grew up as a preacher’s kid and has been an entrepreneur, church planter, associate pastor and lead pastor.

He’s passionate about sharing Jesus with people, equipping them to make an eternal impact and cooperating with God to see His church become healthier and more effective in our changing world. In addition, he has had the opportunity to train, coach & consult with over 1,000 other pastors and churches. Tommy and his wife, Amber, have two sons and live in Effingham County.

Frantz Family

Randall Frantz
Associate Pastor
(Discipleship & Students)

Randall was called by God to join First Baptist as Youth Pastor in September, 2003. He has been involved in youth ministry since 1990 and has served churches in Texas and Arizona in addition to Garden City. He also serves as a Chaplain for the Garden City Police Department.

He has a heart for missions and has led youth and adults on mission trips with World Changers to 11 states in addition to leading or taking part in mission trips to Haiti, Ukraine and most recently, Romania. Randall is passionate about discipling youth and adults in their journey of following Christ.

He and his wife, Patricia, have 3 children and homeschooled their children through high school with their youngest graduating in the spring of 2022.

Cade & McCaulea Kirkland

Cade Kirkland
Children’s Pastor

Cade was called to be the Children’s Pastor of FBCGC in September of 2023. He has served in youth and children’s ministry since 2015 for various churches throughout Southeast GA. Cade is a full-time middle school social studies teacher. He has a passion for student ministry and foster care awareness. He and his wife McCaulea are advocates for foster care, and are active foster parents. He has served with a local foster care community that hosts outreach events and camps for foster children.

Cade has a heart for public school systems and hopes to use his position as children’s pastor to help reach our local schools with the Gospel. He and his wife have one daughter, and reside in Effingham County.

Debbie Traywick
Worship Leader

Debbie became our Worship Leader in 2018. She grew up in this fellowship and has always been involved in the music ministry in some capacity. She believes that we find endearing fellowship with our Lord and with each other as we lift our hearts and voices together in praise and worship!

We joyfully serve a Mighty God! She also has had the privilege of working together with our church in local and foreign missions as well as teaching.
