People are more likely to attend church on Easter than any other day of the year!

As a church we recognize the supernatural draw that the Resurrection of Jesus still has on people - even in our fallen world. We want to make the most of this once-a-year opportunity to share the Gospel of Jesus on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2025!  To that end, here's our three-fold approach to cooperate with God as we approach Resurrection Day:
  • Air Cover: Most importantly, let's all be praying for God to move in a powerful way to draw our lost and unchurched friends, family, co-workers and neighbors to Jesus.
  • Artillery: The church is investing in strategic promotion by mail and online advertising to thousands of people in our local community to make them aware of our church and invite them to Easter Sunday at FBC.
  • Infantry: Each of us as members & attendees are challenged to intentionally pray for God to direct and prompt us to personally invite people to join us this Easter.

Remember, on Easter Sunday at FBC, the people you invite will experience:
  • A practical message that helps them understand the Bible and apply it to their modern-day life.
  • Friendly, loving people who genuinely care about them.
  • Inspiring music to help them connect with God.
  • A warm and welcoming environment where they can grow in their faith.
  • Casual dress - they can come as they are!
  • A fun, faith-building experience for their children in GC Kids (birth-5th grade).
  • Much, much more!

TOOLS & RESOURCES TO INVITE PEOPLE TO EASTER SUNDAY:

Inviting by Social Media?

Technology has expanded all of our reach (for good and bad). Use it for God's Kingdom to invite people to church this Easter.

Below you'll find downloadable invite images you can download and post to your Facebook, Instagram or X accounts to invite people.

You can also text the images to your friends or family, along with a personal invitation message:

Inviting People In-Person?

We have plenty of printed Easter Sunday invite cards for you at the church - you can pick them up on Sundays or swing by the office during the week if you need more. And if you're not sure what to say when you're inviting someone to church, here's a simple starter "script:"

“I’d like to invite you to Easter service at First Baptist Church of Garden City - it’s Sunday, April 20. The service starts at 11:00am and you can sit by me - I’ll even meet you in the parking lot and walk in with you.”
(Bonus points if you volunteer to do lunch with them after the service)

New Teaching Series Begins...

On Easter Sunday, we’ll start a brand-new series of messages that will answer the same question that Jesus asked His own disciples: Who do you say that I am?

Whether you’re already a believer or you’re considering this question for the first time, you’ll discover the answer for yourself as you come face to face with the REAL Jesus and learn these powerful truths about Him:
  • Jesus Forgives My Sins
  • Jesus Meets My Needs
  • Jesus Calms My Fears
  • Jesus Understands My Temptations
  • Jesus Directs My Path
  • Jesus Secures My Eternity
