The mission of First Baptist Church of Garden City is to give the people of Garden City and the surrounding communities the best opportunity to become fully developing followers of Jesus. (The Great Commission – Matthew 28:18-20)
Our Vision
The vision of First Baptist Church of Garden City is to be an authentic and passionate community of Christ followers - loving God, loving people, and lighting the way!
Our Affiliations & Practices
First Baptist Church of Garden City is an autonomous church and that has chosen to affiliate with the Southern Baptist Convention, the Georgia Baptist Mission Board, and the Savannah Baptist Association.
Southern Baptist churches share a common set of Biblical beliefs and convictions. Our church intentionally cooperates with other churches to “accomplish more together than any one of us can do on our own.”
In keeping with our Baptist background, First Baptist Church of Garden City practices Believer's Baptism and the Lord’s Supper as ordinances of the church.
We support thousands of missionaries in North American and around the world through our cooperative giving with like-minded churches. In addition, we have also formed long-term partnerships with other missionaries around the world as we work together to fulfill Jesus’ Great Commission.
