The book of Philippians is a short letter (only 104 verses), written by the Apostle Paul to a church he started some years before. He writes it as a thank you note and a word of encouragement.

You can sense Paul’s joy dripping from every sentence, both as he describes his own situation and as he instructs his readers. The thing is, Paul writes from a Roman prison!
